Plumbing emergencies don’t wait for business hours. A pipe splits during a cold snap, the water heater lets go at 2 a.m., or the toilets start backing up right before the family shows up for Sunday dinner. When that happens, you need a licensed plumber who answers the phone and actually shows up.
That’s what The Right Guyz does. We’re an owner-run San Antonio plumbing company, and we take emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you call, you get Tito or Yessenia. You won’t be routed to a call center in another state, and you won’t get a stranger who has never worked on a San Antonio house.
Signs you need an emergency plumber
Some problems can wait until morning. These usually can’t:
- Water spraying or pouring from a pipe, fitting or water heater
- Water coming up through the floor, or a wet spot on a slab floor that keeps growing
- Sewage backing up into a tub, shower or floor drain
- Every drain in the house running slow at the same time, which often points to a main line clog
- No water at all, or pressure that suddenly drops to a trickle
- No hot water with a leaking or hissing tank
- The smell of gas near a water heater or appliance
If you’re not sure whether it can wait, call us. We’ll tell you honestly if it’s safe to hold off until regular hours, and we’ll walk you through shutting off the water so the damage stops growing while we’re on the way.
What we handle around the clock
Most of our emergency calls fall into a few groups. We fix burst and leaking pipes, including the copper and galvanized lines found in a lot of older San Antonio homes. We clear clogged drains and main sewer lines, and when a line keeps backing up we can run a camera to see why. We repair and replace water heaters, both gas and electric. We also track down slab leaks and yard leaks, fix running and overflowing toilets, and replace failed shut-off valves and pressure reducing valves.
Why neighbors call The Right Guyz first
Our customers talk about the same things over and over. Tito picks up the phone. He comes out when he says he will, even on a Sunday. He explains what went wrong and what your options are, in plain English or Spanish, before he touches anything. And the price you hear before the work starts is the price you pay.
We’re licensed by the State of Texas as a Responsible Master Plumber (RMP-46340). That matters in an emergency, because the fastest fix is the one done right the first time. A patch job from an unlicensed handyman often turns into a second emergency a few weeks later.
Emergency plumbing across San Antonio
We take emergency calls from all over San Antonio, from Stone Oak and the Medical Center to Alamo Heights, downtown, the East and West sides and the South Side. We also cover the towns around the city, including Boerne, Helotes, Leon Valley, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Live Oak, Universal City, Somerset, Von Ormy, Elmendorf and Poteet. Wherever you are, call us and we’ll give you an honest idea of when we can get there.
