Southwest San Antonio is growing fast, and The Right Guyz has been serving it from our home base on the South Side. Whether you’re in a house that’s been in the family for fifty years or a new build off Loop 1604, we’re close by and we answer the phone 24/7.
Old neighborhoods and brand-new subdivisions
Southwest San Antonio is really two kinds of neighborhoods. Inside Loop 410, along corridors like Southwest Military Drive and US 90, many homes date back to the 1950s through the 1970s. Out toward Loop 1604 and the Medina River, whole subdivisions have gone up in the last twenty years, and more are being built every year.
Older homes in the area tend to call us for the problems that come with age. Galvanized water lines lose pressure and start to leak. Cast iron and clay sewer lines crack, sag or fill up with roots. Water heaters get tucked into closets that were never designed for today’s larger tanks. Drain cleaning and sewer camera work are a big part of what we do in these neighborhoods.
Newer homes have a different set of issues. Builder-grade water heaters are often the first thing to go, and San Antonio’s hard water shortens their life. Many new homes come with a softener loop in the garage but no softener, which is an easy upgrade that protects the water heater and fixtures. You can read more on our water softener page.
Foundations, clay and slab leaks
Southwest San Antonio has plenty of the expansive clay soil the whole city is known for. As it swells and shrinks, slabs move and the pipes under them take the stress. If you notice a warm spot on the floor or a water meter that keeps moving with everything off, give us a call about slab leak repair.
Serving military families and landlords
The neighborhoods near JBSA-Lackland include a lot of military families and rental homes. We’re glad to work with landlords and property managers, and we can explain the job to tenants in English or Spanish.
